"Ave Mary A" is a song from P!nk's Funhouse. According to P!nk's website, this song concerns world and social issues. [1] The singer is asking for help in letting go from "the chaos around me" and dealing with a "world gone mad." There were rumors that "Ave Mary A" would be the fifth single from Funhouse to be released in Australia after it received massive airplay on Australian radio stations. This however was untrue, and the fifth and final single was "Glitter in the Air".
Background
"Ave Mary A" was written about issues in today's society and has themes similar to that of "Dear Mr. President" or "Stupid Girls", although presented in a much different musical style. P!nk described it as a song about "how fucked up the world's become". She further described it as a "fun song" and said she "couldn't wait to hear 10,000 people screaming it back to me". [2]
