The song was welcomed to mostly positive reviews, with critics praising its "anthematic chants" and "rebellious vibe".

The song was released as the first promotional single from the album in the UK in November 2003, around the same time that "Catch Me While I'm Sleeping" was released as a promotional single in America. Similarly, no music video was created for the release; however, a live version of the track recorded at P!nk's MTV Unplugged session received airplay around the time of the promotional release of the track.
